Jean and her husband Tom love to dance the Argentine Tango. The University of Oregon offers three semesters of training in this creative dance, and Jean and Tom have taken all the courses plus many workshops and they volunteer at The Tango Center in Eugene. Jean also belongs to a modern dance troupe through the Downtown Athletic Club, the DAC Nooners.Forest Management
Jean spent two years studying forest technology. She and her husband Tom have spent over 20 years managing their timberland, where Tom has also operated an organic truck farm. Tom has worked for the Soil Conservation Service and State Forestry Department. The experience gained from working together has enriched Jean's knowledge of country issues.
